ANIMA members LUIZ FIAMINGHI and VALERIA BITTAR formally took on management and production duties when the production company ANIMAMUSICA was founded in 2004.

 

They had been working voluntarily on ANIMA group projects (CDs, concerts, and Brazilian and international tours) from 1989 to 2004. When REDE (electric company) sponsored the Amares CD (2003/2004), the two musicians were encouraged by their colleagues to formally set up ANIMAMUSICA.

ANIMAMUSICA prepared and coordinated the following projects, concerts and tours:

  • 1992 Espiral do Tempo project, which won a City of Campinas cultural award for Grupo ANIMA
  • 1997 executive, phonographic and graphic work for the CD Espiral do Tempo by Grupo ANIMA.
  • 1989 - 2006 ANIMA concerts and tours in Brazil, Latin America, and North America.
  • 1995 -1997 produced concerts for the duo FLORIAN ET FLORETTE.
  • 1999 - 2008 produced concerts in Brazil for early music group HARMONIA UNIVERSALIS.
  • 1999 as representatives of ANIMA, attended WOMEX 99, international fair of world music in Berlin, Germany.
  • 2000 executive, phonographic and graphic production for Anima's CD Especiarias.
  • 2001 represented ANIMA at WOMEX 99, international fair of world music, held in Rotterdam, Holland.
  • 2002 produced the “Campinas Early Music Exhibition” series sponsored by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Campinas, SP, October 2002. Series of 5 presentations with the groups: ANIMA; HARMONIA UNIVERSALIS (3); DUETTO;
  • 2003/2004 executive and graphic production for the CD Amares, (Grupo ANIMA). Sponsored by GRUPO REDE.
  • 2006 executive and graphic production for the CD Espelho, (Grupo ANIMA). Sponsored exclusively by PETROBRAS.
  • 2006 directed and produced graphics for a series of 6 CDs and the book Missão de Pesquisas Folclóricas by Mário de Andrade, organized and coordinated by SESC SÃO PAULO and the Municipal Secretariat for Culture of the City of São Paulo, SP.
  • 2007 attended International Society for Performing Arts (ISPA) event in New York, representing the groups ANIMA, CARCOARCO, and Baroque Orchestra - International Festival of Early and Brazilian Colonial Music – Juiz de Fora, MG.
  • 2008 Warrior Maiden – female facets of music: 7 presentations and 3 lectures on the Warrior Maiden theme with: HARMONIA UNIVERSALIS – early music group; OS MÚSICOS DE CAPELLA – baroque music group; ANIMA; BEL PADOVANI TRIO; MARLUI MIRANDA E ÍNDIAS WAUJÁ; PAULO FREIRE TRIO; JOYCE. Speakers: Prof. WALNICE NOGUERIA GALVÃO, Prof. MAYA SUEMI LEMOS, and Prof. LUIS OTAVIO SANTOS.

ANIMA workshops, master-classes and educational concerts in Brazil and other countries:

  • 1989 recorder workshop at Scala Academia Musical in Campinas, SP, together with guitarist Gisela Nogueira (UNESP), event sponsored by Robert Bosch do Brasil.
  • 1998 (April 15-18) Toque na Vila language workshops, SESC Vila Mariana, São Paulo, SP.
  • 2000 (July 24-28) 32nd Winter Festival - UFMG, Diamantina, MG.
  • 2000 Brazilfest workshop at Northwestern University in Chicago.

  • 2001 (October 10-14) chamber music workshops in residence for the AmericArtes Festival series, the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC

  • 2003 - recorder workshop Chamber Music Series – University of Idaho, Moscow, USA.
  • 2003 (June 5-8) recorder workshops 16th International Music Festival of Pará – Escola Estadual de Música do Pará, Belém.
  • 2004 educational concert as part of the 1st Tatuí Chamber Music Conference, Conservatório Municipal de Tatuí - Tatuí, SP.
  • 2004 educational concert and recorder workshop for the Chamber Music Festival, Universidade de Uberlândia, MG.
  • 2006 ( November 7 and 9 ) educational concert and workshop, Studio Clio and UFRGS, Porto Alegre, RS, sponsored by Petrobras.
